When Jaimie Alexander showed up to the Emmys wearing a gorgeous, never-before-seen Armani Prive gown, we knew her star power was seriously on the rise. After catching the series premiere of NBC's Blindspot , our suspicions were confirmed: Jaimie Alexander as the naked, tattooed, and downright fierce Jane Doe is about to rock this television season and beyond. She seriously impressed us during Blindspot 's premiere—and not just because she could contort herself to fit into an overnight-size duffel bag. Here's why Jane is already one of television's most badass new characters. She doesn't take no for an answer. A few months ago, we heard that Jaimie Alexander, who plays Lady Sif in Marvel's Thor flicks, was in the hospital after suffering a "horrible injury" on the set of Thor: The Dark World. Now Alexander has described exactly what happened, and it was worse than we thought. Back in September when the injury happened, all Alexander said publicly was that she was injured and recovering. Now, while making the rounds to promote her new flick The Last Stand , she's gone into more detail about just how serious her injury was. Of course, Alexander got immediate medical treatment for the injury, and thought she'd escaped without serious problems. The next day, things got worse. However, when you go to see Thor in movie theaters next summer, their relationship might surprise you. Anyway, earlier this year I got to visit the set of Thor was the production was filming outside Los Angeles. While there I was able to participate in an interview with Jaimie Alexander Sif and she talked to us about landing the role, how she prepared, working for Branagh and Marvel, working on green screen, her thoughts on Loki, and a lot more.
Jaimie Alexander has super powers in real life. She was just out of high school when she filled in for a sick friend at a meeting with a scouting agency, and that led her to a career in acting. Do you work differently in each arena? I tend to draw from people around me.
